Training
The process of training a search and rescue dog requires an average of over 2000 hours. In order to maximize the effectiveness of this training, the "missing subject" or "lost hikers" in these situations should be a variety of people that are unfamiliar to the dog or the handler. We are always in need of people to sit out in the desert for hours on end (it's a really good way to catch up on your reading), so that we can use you as our missing subject and have our dogs find you.
If you are interested in becoming a "professional missing subject" and help us train our dogs, email us for more details.
